Which Entrepreneur Would You Spend Your 15 Minutes With?

Richard BransonIf you had 15 minutes to kick back and chat with any entrepreneur in the world, who would it be and why? For me, I’m going with Sir Richard Branson. Why, because the dude is just so damn chill! Branson built his empire, literally, by having fun and following his gut no matter what. I admire that in an entrepreneur. Someone who really enjoys what they are doing and living up it every single day to the fullest extent. I can see it now… me, Branson, some beach, and a few pina coladas.

About David Askaripour

I've been thinking about life, existence, and truth for as long as I could remember. When I was about 7 I remember getting a headache trying to figure out who created God...and if someone created him, then who create him? I love investigating and testing, taking nothing for truth that outside my direct experience. At the age of 12, I started my own candy selling business; it grew so large that the principal ended up closing me down (but that was just the beginning...) Through my videos and articles, I share my journey with the world.

branson is a good choice, russel simmons is another possibly choice i’d wanna chat with.

basically i’d like to chat with any successful entrepreneur who built themselves up; not someone who’s a part of the lucky sperm club.

Russel Simmons, good one! I like that dude.

Mark Shuttleworth – He is a South African entrepreneur and the first African in space. He now lives a humble life and invests his money into worthwhile projects.

Hey Michael. Cool, I never heard of Mark Shuttleworth. I’ll have to read up on him :)

I’d put Diddy up there as high as anyone, just because I’m such a huge fan.

P.Diddy, yeah def! He’s really doing big things. I’ve always been impressed with him as an entrepreneur — not so much as an rapper, though.. hehe…

Personally, I’d pick someone like john Chow or the problogger right now. That would probably be different if you asked me this time next year though.

I chilled w/ Problogger, Darren Rowse, at a party he threw in the city. Cool dude.

I think all the suggestions are great. Personally, I would choose entrepreneurs that are more realistic and within my industry of medical devices. I’m extremely fortunate to have worked for a number of successful entrepreneurs during my career. I hope that I continue to have these opportunities. One entrepreneur in my industry that I would love to spend some time with is Bill Cook. I spent the greater part of my career working for Cook, Inc.–a company founded by Mr. Cook. However, I never had an opportunity to chat with him.

I would definitely have to go with Tim Ferriss. Actually I am going to try to meat up with him within a year of my getting out of the Navy. I really like his book, The 4-Hour Work Week, and I have been in touch with him a couple of time over e-mail. He is a very down to earth guy, but he does a lot of amazing things.

Hey Adam, yeah I keep on hearing about how good that book is.. I might just have to read it :) Hope that the navy is treating you well.

That book really is fantastic. I walked into Barnes & Noble and thought I’d read the first chapter….I read 2/3 of the book sitting right there! I couldn’t put it down. Then I just about wet myself when John Chow was giving away a signed copy…I didn’t win it though.

I can imagine, Sir Richard must be great to hang out with. I believe he’s THE DUDE. Hey, is that Mariah Carey?

I think this guy behind UBUNTU linux , called shuttleworth . That guy is no joke , he started from a garage just like most of us here . I would love to him ASAP .

  15. Michael August 1, 2007 at 10:30 am #

Thats the guy. He made secure SSL certificates at his company Thawte. Second self-funded space tourist. Set up HBD Venture Capital and the Shuttleworth Foundation. Set up Canonical which is the company behind Ubuntu Linux, the most popular distro of Linux. Mark is my role model.
