Taking stock of your life every once in a while is a very intelligent thing to do. Are you heading forward? Or are you heading backwards? Are you waking-up each day doing things that you love; things that are meaningful and fulfilling? Or are you going to bed each night dreading the next day of hell and monotony?
Simple questions, but quite profound nevertheless. Those series of questions have become a sort of meditation for me, allowing me to gauge my “now.” How is my “now?” Does it suck or does it rock? If it rocks, then I’m moving forward and staying true to myself. If it sucks, then perhaps I’m sabotaging myself and my goals.
Each day I’m learning more and more about my time here on Earth; about my purpose and mission. There are times of sadness, extreme difficulty, and setbacks, but that’s perfectly okay with me. I accept that. Because what keeps me going is my untiring passion for what I’m doing and my love of life — Isn’t living great? Isn’t each moment of life an unimaginable miracle second to second to second? Isn’t being able to touch, feel, hear, speak, and sense absolutely spectacular? If you’re into living as much as I am, then I’d hope so.
Cherish each moment you have here. It’s not long. So live each day as it’s your last. Move in the direction of your heart and fulfill your destiny and purpose here on Earth. It’s never too late to start. So get at it! And constantly take account of where your life is heading; and if need be, modify that direction to the right one.
