How easy is it to watch an endless stream of videos of people doing amazing things such as recycling, practicing sustainability, and consuming environmentally-conscious foods? How easy is it to smile when hearing about great leaders doing positive things for their communities? How easy is it to listen to stories of heros who took a stand against great opposition for what they believed in?
Extremely easy.
It’s ridiculously easy to watch from the sidelines a see great things taking shape. Because it feels good, as it should. No doubt. It feels great to see positive change manifesting. Hell yeah it does..!!
But, my friends, don’t get trapped by “watching” these amazing things unfolding. Don’t remain on the sidelines in a passive — “positive” — position only watching and observing these things.
Because when you do that — remain on the sidelines — you’re dis-empowering and declaring yourself as a rock on the beach. No. Become the lively and vigorous wave crashing about, constantly moving and changing.
Join the movement. Join the fight. Join the pains. Join the struggles. Join the joys. Join the tears. Join the blood. Join the death. Join the peace. Join the love.
Whatever you do, don’t just watch in a zombified state of passivity. You’re better than that. Don’t live your life vicariously through the courage, bravery, and actions of others. Become an ember and contribute to the flame.
We need all the sparks we can to help keep the flame of positive change and peace burning. For I tell you, it’s dwindling. So step up an jump in. You can do it. I know you can. You know you can.
We need you.

Great stuff Dave. Essentially: get off your a** and do something (anything).
One example that comes to mind that irks me is with TV shows like Home Makeover that do great things for the community. I have a lot of friends/family who love the show, but would never consider actually joining up with Habitat for Humanity and doing the same thing for others. Always makes me wonder….
Just a tiny example, but it popped into my mind when reading your post. Keep up the great posts…I know MP isn’t the ‘entrepreneur focused’ community you once intended it to be, but it’s become a very unique blog that I have grown to enjoy in a completely different way.
Hope all is well,
A
I’m answering your call to action here and now.
while contemplating gas prices awhile back,I keyed in the words (on Google) water powered cars.
It took me to waterpoweredcar.com , on the left side of the site there is a 1978 Camero I clicked on it.
This man has built a car that actually runs on water (he is a mechanic) His plans are all there for free.
Although some will say it can’t be done, the plans are sound.
what he has done (with a stock 350cubic in. engine) is convert to high voltage, inject a spray of water into the cylinder with the timing retarded 35 degrees (that means the piston is at the bottom of the cylinder) and makes an implosion (creating a vacuum) and it works.
I am currently figuring out how to make this basic plan work with a fuel injection system.
When done I will quietly join the revolution
Remember, what can work with a car engine can work with a electrical generator engine.
there are many engines besides this one that can work, some to get hydrogen on demand too.
want to join a real revolution, save the world, and have a ton of savings in your pocket too?
go to the above site and then take action.
Knowledge IS Power! Dave
Hey Adam,
Thanks for your awesome comment and support. I know… many people were/are disappointed when I switched gears from entrepreneurship to “weird Dave” rambling about the environment and spirituality. But, as you understand, I’ve done this because this is what’s in my heart. And I have to follow my heart, right. We all should. So glad that you’re still a Mind Petals reader, that means a lot to me. And big UPs! to what you and your team are doing, I’ve been following you guys and will continue to do so. All is well with me, been doing a lot of observing, reading, and writing lately — more than I’ve even done in my life. And it’s great.
Hey Tom,
Thanks for that inspirational comment. Heck yeah!! That water powered car sounds AWESOME. I’ve heard of hydrogen and, of course, electric cars… but never cars that run off of pure oxygen. This is the sort of technology that we need to focus on. This is the technology that can help save the world. Thanks for taking action and being a part of the solution. Indeed, this is a revolution — nothing short of one. And I have to say it… it comes down to what side people are on. The side of saving the Earth or the side of destroying it. I REALLY, REALLY, love what Daryl Hannah is doing with her video blog, dh love life. It’s a show that is focused on sustainability and protecting our Earth. Please keep Mind Petals informed on the car that you’re building. Are you a mechanic by trade? I’d love to hear more. What are your thoughts on biofuel — running cars off of vegetable oil?
