The Secret: Unlock The Power of Your Mind

The SecretLast night I watched the movie, The Secret. Well, I don’t think that it’s fair to simply call it a “movie,” it’s more of an educational film focused around helping people to get what they want out of life.

For many entrepreneurs, this film will be of no surprise to you because you may have already been living your life in a way that brings you what you want. But this film does an excellent job putting things into perspective.

The film is focused on the “Law of Attraction.” This is a universal law that allows for you to attract what you are thinking. If you are thinking positive, you’ll attract positive in your life. If you are thinking negative, you’ll attract negative in your life. It’s that simple.

Here are some of my thoughts that I have applied to entrepreneurship:

When business is good, keep it good

Things are bound to happen with our ventures, sometimes bad things and sometimes good things. But it’s extremely important not to harp and constantly think about the bad things, no matter how bad they get.

You need to maintain a positive attitude and instead of thinking “how bad things are” think about “how great it’ll be when you get pass this hurdle.”

It’s so easy for us to constantly think about how horrible a situation is when we’re down. By focusing on the negative, you’ll only bring about more negative events. Like will always attract like.

Be thankful for everything that you have accomplished so far

Don’t take anything for granted with your business. When people reach out to you and help you move forward with your business, be thankful.

When you seal a deal with a new client, be thankful.

When you launch that new website of yours and traffic starts rolling in, be thankful.

Being thankful and constantly showing your appreciation will create a chain reaction of people who want to continue to help you. When you show gratitude, you’ll continue prospering with your venture.

Don’t only “think” about what you want “feel it”

It’s great to think about the success you want to see with you business, but it’s even more important to actual “feel” it happening to you.

If you want to change the world one day, then close your eyes and actually see and feel yourself changing the world. See yourself doing great things and helping the millions of people around the world with your business. See them using your service with smiles on their faces.

The saying “If you believe it, you can conceive it” is absolutely correct. Once you start seeing yourself doing something in your mind, then with constant persistence and hunger, it’s bound to happen.

It’s almost Christmas, so this film may make a great gift for a friend or business associate. It’s a great film that will reaffirm your positive way of thinking and – for others who haven’t been living by the law of attraction – it’ll open your mind to a whole new way of thinking that can possibly change your life forever.

About David Askaripour

I've been thinking about life, existence, and truth for as long as I could remember. When I was about 7 I remember getting a headache trying to figure out who created God...and if someone created him, then who create him? I love investigating and testing, taking nothing for truth that outside my direct experience. At the age of 12, I started my own candy selling business; it grew so large that the principal ended up closing me down (but that was just the beginning...) Through my videos and articles, I share my journey with the world.
