So You Loss-But Did You Really Lose?

I have a tendency to want to win every single time no matter the cost within the limitations of the rules of course. I just have a phobia or almost a complete mental barrier against losing; I just dont want any part of it plain and simple!

At the same time Im really the same way with making mistakes and messing up, I get down on myself and on my work extremely aggressively because I never want it to be second hand or I dont want to get caught making a mistake.

Wow what a LOSER attitude to have! Yea thats right, this attitude and mental block in my head has got to go and Ive been working on getting rid of it very hard lately.

Now many people would see these beliefs and actions as pluses, because having a winning attitude is a great asset, right? Yes there is nothing wrong with wanting to win, but there is something wrong with being afraid to lose or to fail.

So you lost, you messed up big-time, wow you really blew that one, what in the world were you thinking, you must really be a loser! Wrong, the person who jumps in the game full speed ahead and makes mistakes is actually the Winner.

That person who stays on the sidewalk watching the cars come by saying to himself, Man one of these days Im going to get out there with the big boys, you watch me!

Then you check back with this guy in 10 years and hes still standing in the same spot saying the same old crap! Now Im not speaking against people who are really trying to climb uphill as young entrepreneurs and they are fighting the odds to chase their dreams and destiny.

For instance, say that another guy just like I mentioned a second ago was standing on the sidewalk saying, Man one of these days Im going to get in there and Im going to win, you watch me! Then you check back 10 years later and ask the guy, so what have you done to jump in the race out there?

Then he says, “well I got out there with a raggedy car because thats all I could afford and I didnt win the race, but I fought hard. Then after that I came back with another vehicle that was a little better and I still lost, but I learned a lot about the new car that Im about to put out there in a couple more weeks.

Right now Im working another job to pay for the repairs and to put a nice engine in my new vehicle so I can compete with these other guys out there, but next time I get in that race, I promise you Im going to win!

See the difference in attitudes, one guy has stayed in the same spot afraid of failing or making mistakes and making himself seem like an idiot. While the other guy has jumped out into the race a couple of times and failed, but hes learned invaluable information that doesnt come from classrooms, books or magazines and now he has a winning mentality to get back out there again, but this time he wants to win.

However folks, Im here to tell you that the second guy isnt going to win Next Time, that second guy is already a Winner because he wasnt afraid to be a Loser first!
