I don’t know about you guys, but many of the decisions that I make about my company are made in bed before I fall asleep. Many of the ideas and visions that help shape my company come to me in bed as well.
Sure, it’s not cool to constantly be thinking about your business all day long, but spending a few minutes in bed before you fall asleep to reflect on your business can prove to be a very powerful exercise for you.
Start by thinking about the choices that you made throughout the day; think about the mistakes that you made; think about the people that you spoke to; and think about ways to improve upon the day’s events.
While in bed, your mind is in sort of a refresh mode, allowing you to think more clearly than if you were juggling a million things throughout the day time. By spending some time at night to reflect, what you are doing is laying the foundation for growth.
By taking the time to think about various possibilities, issues, ideas, innovations, what have you, you are planting seeds in your mind. You are giving your mind instructions to start germinating those seeds.
Some seeds will germinate right away as you think, and others will slowly cultivate over days and weeks, growing into something great; something beautiful. It’s vital that you dedicate some time – usually at night before you go to bed or perhaps in the shower in the morning – to take the time to sow those seeds.
The more seeds that you plant, the more opportunities for your mind to produce great ideas and solutions that will have huge impacts on the vitality of your venture. Overtime, you’ll have a flourishing garden of plants to implement into your company.

I am always thinking of something new to do. Be it my current web design business, or a new business. I find myself ALWAYS thinking of money, how to make it, and easier ways to make a passive income.
Usually the best thoughts are while in bed, or in the shower as you stated. Now, I keep a notebook next to the bed and usually have my laptop with me in case I need to search for something I thought about or buy a domain I got an idea for.
great post
Yeah, as an entrepreneur we’re inevitably going to be thinking about the cash, indeed. I believe that with the right hunger and determination to build something that’s really going to benefit people, eveything will fall into place. And those ideas usually come to you when you least expect it. For me, in bed.. hehe..
