My brother Matty, aka, ‘Mateo” and I are discussing the effects of yerba mate. He just brought me home a fresh bag of Amanda mate from his study abroad program in Abu Dhabi, Middle East. The amanda mate is pretty good. It’s strong and direct…has some coffee-like properties, yet still smooth and delicate. Good natural sweetness with the inclusion of “palos” (white twigs). This is a solid mate.
