Is Your Boyfriend or Girlfriend an Entrepreneur Too?

HeartWouldn’t it be interesting to see how many entrepreneurs are actually in relationships with other entrepreneurs?

From my experiences, entrepreneurs are very strong minded, outspoken, and passionate people who like to have things their way. Now throw another entrepreneur who thinks just like you – extremely confident and dominating — into the mix and what do you have?

I think that it can be a pleasant experience to be involved with another entrepreneur. You’ll always have something to talk about; you’ll support each other’s ambitions in life; and you always have a brainstorming budding to bounce ideas around with.

But what’s the flip side?

I could image that some entrepreneurs who are in a relationship can’t stand when their partner tries to tell him/her how to run their business.

Something like:

“Hunny, you need to design that website this way because it’ll workout better for the client.”

“No, my solution is just fine, thanks anyway hun.”

“Nooo…. Your solution is going to lose you a client; just do it my way.”

“Nooo…. I’m doing it my way and that’s that!”

”No!”

“Yes!”

“NO!”

“YES!”

Ha, I wonder if any of you have ever experienced such a battle with your girl/boyfriend. That would make for a good show, wouldn’t it?

I’m no Doctor Phil, but I think that it’s extremely important to know when to shut down and relax when you’re involved with another entrepreneur in a relationship. You simply have to make time to talk about other things and not business…business…business… all the time. Otherwise, your relationship will turn into a constant business meeting and that’s no fun.

If you get involved with another entrepreneur, then cool! But have fun with it, don’t let it consume you. Know when to draw the line when it comes to business and pleasure – when it comes to relationships I’m not sure if they are one in the same.

What do you think?

About David Askaripour

I've been thinking about life, existence, and truth for as long as I could remember. When I was about 7 I remember getting a headache trying to figure out who created God...and if someone created him, then who create him? I love investigating and testing, taking nothing for truth that outside my direct experience. At the age of 12, I started my own candy selling business; it grew so large that the principal ended up closing me down (but that was just the beginning...) Through my videos and articles, I share my journey with the world.
