Organization is essential for entrepreneurs to be productive and effective throughout the day. We all have our own ways of staying organized and on top of things. From using blackberrys to schedule meetings to using Outlook to store addresses, entrepreneurs understand that without proper organization, things can go awry and fall apart quite easily.
One of the best services for keeping track of clients and project management is 37 Signal’s Basecamp application. This hosted app isn’t bloated with millions of unnecessary features and offers the entrepreneur exactly what they need, nothing more. It’s easy to use and maintain. When it comes to collaboration and project management, Basecamp is your service.
What about keep track of those invoices? No problem, I have just the software for you called Blinksale. Like Basecamp, Blinksale offers you exactly what you need and nothing more. It’s a simple hosted application that allows you to send invoices, keep track of your clients, and even send nice thank you and reminder messages.
Ahh… and how can I forget the good ‘ol notepad. Yup, that’s right. Nothing beats the legal pad when it comes to taking down quick notes, ideas, and concepts. I highly recommend keeping a pad by your side at all times.
You want to be able to have a record of all those little pieces of content that run through your brain all day – the pad is the perfect organizer to keep track of your thoughts. Just make sure to add dates to everything so that you can always flip back to review, edit, and improve down the line.
How do you stay organized?

I’m currently using Blinksale as well. I looked at others like: Freshbooks, SimplyBill and SideJobTrack and really disliked all of them. SimplyBill has horrible usability and SideJobTrack seems to have been left for dead by it’s founder, so I’m not going there. Freshbooks has a lot of functionality, but tons of stuff I don’t need — who needs support tickets??? It’s just too complicated.
Blinksale comes closest to what I need, but it also has limitations I’m not excited about, like:
1. All users have access to everything
2. I can’t do anything in bulk — everything has to be done one at a time.
Here is my initial writing on the topic:

Hey Fin,
Yeah, Blinksale rocks. I’ve had a small problem with them charging my credit card twice a few times, but other than that, I think that they got it right. Hopefully, they get their credit card issue sorted out, though.
Thanks for sharing your post!
