In the beginning of the summer – June 2006 – I decided to put one of my domain names to use – Classhelpers.com – and build a site that focused on helping college students with things such as:
- Dating
- Dorm Life
- Entertainment
- entrepreneurship
- Food & Health
- Homework
- Jobs & Work
- Research
- Social
- Studying
- Websites
- Writing
Throughout the summer the site was maintained by two college students that I hired (internship) to populate the site with original articles on various college experiences and insights.
I think that Class Helpers is an awesome site, but my focus is currently on Mind Petals and I’d rather see someone who has the time and energy to grow the site and turn it into some HUGE as opposed to it just being a “side project” for me.
I think that there is a lot of opportunity for Class Helpers. It’s an excellent name to being with and as we all know, college students love finding useful information on the web that they can apply to their lives immediately.
With the right creativity and determination, Class Helpers can be turned into a huge success. I simply just don’t have the time to do it, (and to be honest, I could use the money) but would love to see someone step in and make it happen.
I’d be more than happy to spend some time brainstorming ideas on how to make Class Helpers even bigger and better with anyone who may want to purchase the site from me.
If you’re interested in purchasing the website, please visit the auction here.
