As entrepreneurs, many of us are constantly writing about our ideas, thoughts, possibilities, and visions of the future. Whether it’s through our blogs, business journals, websites, napkins, what have you… we’re writing and articulating our thoughts. If you’re like me, you wallpaper is comprised of notes and ideas.
What about self-publishing some of those thoughts? Sure, our content can go a far way with the advent of blog systems, but what about the rest of the world who doesn’t have access to our online content?
Taking the step to self-publish your content in a book format can be a great move for any entrepreneur. It not only reinforces your content published on the web, but also adds value and credibility to you and your company.
Indeed, everything is going onto the web in what seems to be a never-ending cycle, books included. However, I think that there will always be a need for people wanting to actually grasp a book in their hands and flip from page to page; people like the intimacy of holding something and carrying it around with them.
On that note, don’t overlook the possibility to go the self-publishing route. Publishing Basics is a great newsletter that updates you with featured commentary on the entire industry. From niche publishing to getting the best prices for your first book, it’s an excellent resource.
