D2D Will Store Your Dorm Items

D2D logoDon’t you just hate having to pack up all your stuff at the end of spring semester? I absolutely hated that. Sure, I had the summer to look forward to, but I was never looking forward to packing up everything in my dorm – box by box – and having to transport it all the way back to my home which was 60 miles from my college.

You might laugh at 60 miles, because I’m sure many of your go to colleges hundreds of miles away from you home. I can only image how fun it is for you to transport your dorm items back home every final semester. My heart goes out to you.

But what if you didn’t have to worry about all that transporting? D2D is on a mission to make it so you never have sweat when it comes to transporting at the end of the semester.

D2D will come to your dorm, pick up your packed boxes, and store it for you the entire summer. So when fall semester comes around, no more transporting. D2D will swing by and deliver your items right to your dorm. Sweet deal.

However, what would really make this service so much sweeter, would be if they actually did all the packing as well. This would seal the deal for many more students who have absolutely no desire to pack up their clothes, books, covers, computer, etc…

Students want to spend every last minute of spring semester partying and having fun before they go home for the semester. If someone where to say: “I’ll not only store your items for you the entire summer, but I’ll actually come to your dorm and pack everything for you nice and neatly. Don’t worry about a thing,” I just may kiss their feet (heh).

D2D is only currently operating in a few select universities in California, so they may not reach your college for some time. They are taking the approach of installing “managers” at the various schools to expand their operations across the country, as it would appear.

This is actually a sound approach, one that Sam Walton – founder of Walmart and Sam’s Club – used to expand his small chain of stores when first starting out. He would find outstanding managers to run each new store and give each one of them a percentage in the company; he actually issued them stock.

And I’m sure you can image what happened when the company went public many years later – the managers were instantly rich beyond belief! So I only hope that D2D is actually giving each one of these managers an equity stake in the business – not sure how it would make sense otherwise (unless they were just interning or employed only part-time.)

D2D looks like a great service with plenty of potential. It’ll be interesting to follow their growth. Students can sure use their services.

About David Askaripour

I've been thinking about life, existence, and truth for as long as I could remember. When I was about 7 I remember getting a headache trying to figure out who created God...and if someone created him, then who create him? I love investigating and testing, taking nothing for truth that outside my direct experience. At the age of 12, I started my own candy selling business; it grew so large that the principal ended up closing me down (but that was just the beginning...) Through my videos and articles, I share my journey with the world.

Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips for rookie blog writers? I’d certainly appreciate it.
