If you’re a young entrepreneur with a startup, then take a look at our new rates just for you! As a bootstrapping entrepreneur myself, I know how hard it is to get the word out about a product or service, so I’m right there with you.

That’s exactly why I decided to add a special sponsorship rate for young entrepreneurs. Your support of Mind Petals is greatly appreciated and we look forward to helping spread the word of your service through our community of hungry, ambitious, and determined entrepreneurs.

Phew… it’s been a busy last few weeks. I am sure that you have all noticed the latest revisions made to the Mind Petals Network. Mostly little things here and there, but the one most important section that was added is the ‘Preneur Petals section.

The ‘Preneur Petals section – located at the bottom of the page – was created to really touch upon areas of entrepreneurship that we entrepreneurs face on a daily basis. Things like running a business with little capital, marketing, innovating for a new service/product, managing our lives with our businesses, starting a company, and simply finding solutions to problems that are bound to arise while running a company.
‘Preneur Petals is maintained by an internal team of young entrepreneurs who write for each column on a day-to-day basis. We always knew that we had to add a section such as this to the network, because these areas that simply need talking about.
It’s our aim to really dig deep and provide the best possible entrepreneurship insights, advice, and experiences with the entire community – this is what keeps Mind Petals alive.
We won’t try and pretend to know everything about entrepreneurism, because we just don’t! Many of us have only been at this game for few years and we are still learning as we go along. We’d like to share what we learn as we continue on this journey and hopefully connect with people who can teach us as well – that’s the plan.
At the end of the day Mind Petals isn’t just a network for entrepreneurs to come read about business, it’s more of an idea than anything else.
- Mind Petals is that student sitting in his dorm room reading an HTML / PHP book trying to teach himself how to create a website for his business.
- Mind Petals is that person designing T-Shirts and saving up money to have a few hundred tees printed to get the buzz going about his/her new clothing company.
- Mind Petals is that person working a 9 to 5 all day long in an effort to save up some cash to invest into their business so they won’t have to be trapped in a company that doesn’t bring any joy to their lives.
You see, Mind Petals is not defined by our mission statement on the top of our site, it’s defined by YOU!, the entrepreneur out there making things happen with your life and not sitting on the sidelines watching and waiting for the world pass you by.
We hope to continue motivating, sharing knowledge, and connecting with entrepreneurs across the globe. Thank you for all of your support and being a part of our effort to spark minds and open the doors of entrepreneurship to as many people as we can.
Rock on!

So the million dollar question for all blog network owners must be: “what type of traffic are you getting?” I won’t lie and say that I don’t give a damn about traffic because I do. I do care to know how many people are coming to check out the articles on the site. But for now, I’m not going to kill myself over how many people are hitting up the network.
My goal now is to find the best of the best entrepreneur bloggers on the net. And let me tell you, it isn’t easy. But what is easy? I’ve been searching around technorati and del.icio.us for some quality bloggers. I came across a few, so that was cool.
If you were wondering if Mind Petals was network for only young entrepreneurs, then think again. Yup, you’d be correct if you said that all of the founding members were young entrepreneurs such as myself (twentysomething), but age really plays no part. It’s all about the content and actions, everything else is just fluff to me.
Oh did I ever tell you about the traffic? Well I can sit here and lie to you and say that we have experienced tons of hits and impressions, but I’ll leave that for the boasters and bullshitters. The traffic hasn’t been what I expected, but what can I really expect after only a day of being live?
Right now, I’m on a mission to find those awesome entrepreneur bloggers. Once I do that, everything will fall into place. I’m just going to keep on having fun, running my business, and making the most out of life.
Everyday is filled with new experiences and I look forward to watching my baby grow. And if it doesn’t, I always have more seeds.

What a great start to the network! Today my inbox flooded with praise and support for Mind Petals. I’m excited and confident about the future of the network.
Many people expressed their interest in the network’s super-unique design. I wanted a design that would be representative of growth and expansion; so the flowers, sky, and plant elements seemed to do the trick. Matt Brett is a talented designer and he was truly successful in making my design vision a reality. Thanks, Matt.
People really liked how we used the petals in the outer right column to house the sponsor ads — it really fits well with the site and not too intrusive (at least I hope not…)
Additionally, many entrepreneur bloggers have written in request to join (thank you all!). I’ve made a list of all the interested bloggers and will contact each person individually with responses. And hey, if your blog isn’t what we are looking for, no worries.
Mind Petals will actually work with you to make it so your blog is granted membership. We are really looking for entrepreneur bloggers who write consistently, not every few months. In order for this network to work, it will need a constant flow of entrepreneurial content to continue sparking those minds! We can’t accept bloggers who pose a threat to putting that spark out.
But let’s be realistic, we know and expect entrepreneur bloggers not to write a gazillion articles per day simply because we are super busy changing the world! But the ones who can make an effort to post every few days will have the best chances of membership.
Thank you all for your comments, feedback, and support!
