Monday, October 30 by David Askaripour in Member's Stuff | 4 Comments

I’m honored to announce that Matt Lauzon and Jason Reuben of Paragon Lake Jewelry and Michael Simmons of Extreme Entrepreneurship have all been nominated to BusinessWeek’s Top 25 Young Entrepreneurs under 25 contest.

Matt and Jason of Paragon Lake are some of the most dedicated entrepreneurs that I have come across. Through ups and downs, they have been able to push Paragon Lake forward without looking back.

Paragon Lake can manufacture just about any type of jewelry you’ll need. From necklaces to bracelets, make an order and you’ll received your item within one week.

Michael Simmons is the type of entrepreneur that never ceases to surprise me. From his best selling book, The Student Manifesto, to his recently launched Journey Page, this entrepreneur and his wife Sheena are on their way to changing the entire young entrepreneurship evolution.

Please show you support for these entrepreneurs and the rest of the nominees by voting here.

I hope to see you make the list next year!

To Desire an Empire

Tuesday, October 24 by David Askaripour in Member's Stuff | 1 Comment

As an entrepreneur, you’re going to need to know how to sell. Whether it’s selling your vision to an investor; selling your products to a client; or selling yourself as an expert in your particular field.

Like all things in life, it’s going to take time and practice to become a deadly seller. However, you’re in luck.

Desire an Empire

To Desire an Empire will help you improve your selling and marketing skills. With a lot of confidence in yourself, some practice under your belt, and some good ol’ determination, you’re absolutely bound to become an effective seller.

Young entrepreneurs should take a stab at selling any chance they get – it’s only going to help us in the long-run and I don’t think it’ll hurt the bottom-line of our companies. I’m looking forward to stepping up my selling game and hope you are too!

Welcome, Justin!

Flee the Cube

Sunday, September 24 by David Askaripour in Member's Stuff | 2 Comments

It wasn’t too long ago that I was sitting 2 feet away from a white wall in an employee cage (re: cubicle). And I have to tell you, it truly was hell. Heck, if they are going to put you in a cube at your job, they can at least provide a nearby window to view the scenery while you continue to make your employers and company founders richer by the day.

Flee the Cube

Are you ready to flee the cube? Are you ready to quit your job and become a full-time entrepreneur? I don’t know, but you do. For many, living a “safe” life of steady paychecks and predictable days is the only thing that you will ever know.

But let’s be real: is a “job” really that safe in this day and age when layoffs and company acquisitions have become commonplace.

The self-employed entrepreneur is turning out to be living the “safer” life as he/she is in control of their destiny. Sure, the tradeoff of a steady check for the cyclical financial waves of the entrepreneur can be scary, indeed.

But the chance to have everything that you’ve ever wanted, to help millions of people, and to change the world is worth all the risk in the world – wouldn’t you say?

Flee the Cube, written by Cesar Gonzalez, is a blog that was created after Ceasar fled his cube for a life of entrepreneurship. Follow him as he chronicles his life from employee to employer.

Welcome, Cesar.

Not Your Average

Saturday, September 16 by David Askaripour in Member's Stuff | 2 Comments

Not Your Average is, well, not your average blog. I know that you’ve thought about before. Thought about what? You know, building a website to flip (re: sell for a profit). It can be a very profitable business if you do it right and it’s happening more and more on the net.

Not Your Average

And why shouldn’t it? In the tangible world we have a Real Estate market for homes and properties so it only makes sense that we have a Virtual Real Estate market, right. I’m down with that. As the web continues to grow, and people start to get bored with their sites for whatever reason, they may want to put it up for sale. Sites like Not Your Average help keep the web a fluid environment, supplying readers with advice to help facilitate the transferring of virtual property.

In a sense, as disturbing as it may sound to some people, the internet is become something like a stock market to a degree that sites are being acquired, traded, flipped, and created for the sole purpose of generating cash. This is capitalism and it’s happening right in our own backyards, the web.

I’m looking forward to learning more about the Virtual Real Estate market.

Welcome, Robert!

trizoko-ize your business

Monday, June 26 by David Askaripour in Member's Stuff | Leave a Comment

So many blogs…so much bullshit. Many of us entrepreneurs keep it real by posting articles that can be backed-up with their entrepreneurial endeavors and the things that they really do in life. That’s what I really love about the Mind Petals’ membership — we keep it real. But on the other had, many entrepreneur bloggers continue to spit out loads of bullshit and crap that has nothing to do with their lives and the lives of real entrepreneurs making real things happen.

trizoko business blog

That is why it’s so refreshing when you come across a blog such as trizoko. trizoko is run by entrepreneurs who never miss any opportunity to back up their articles with loads of corroborating material and personal insight which helps enforce their message to entrepreneurs around the world.
