Need to Get Re-motivated?

If you’re in a summer slump, and beaching it with your friends sounds better than being a big time business guru right now… read on… Check yourself on this checklist, and see what you can do to kick that energy up a few notches.

If You’re Not Offending Someone
, then you are probably not making a big enough impact: We need feedback from our unsatisfied customers. It teaches us how we can improve and keeps us grounded. Reach out beyond your client comfort zone. Take a risk in advertising.

Take the Best and Leave the Rest. Skim through all those old books and articles that inspired you in the first place. Run with the best idea and see it through to the finish.

Act As If
you already have millions. People can sense your confidence. But most of all, a positive self-projection grows inside of you and provides tons of energy for work and idea blooming.

Clean Up Shop. Move your desk closer to the window. Clean your apartment/office and maybe get some new pens. Throw out materials that you haven’t used in the last six months. A plant or some flowers can also brighten and add new perspective.

Treat Yourself to something you’ve wanting/needing. Maybe you’ve been putting off getting that new pair of shoes because books or rent seem more practical. But, if having them will make you feel more comfortable, and look more professional – get them. Don’t blow fall tuition, but make yourself feel successful and deserving.

Stop Making Lists
about lists you need to make in order to save time. Perhaps a weekly to-do list that includes five major goals at a time would work for you. This way, you can reevaluate on a weekly basis, and have more time to achieve the actual goals.

Make More Calls. Get off the couch or up from your desk and pick up the phone. Call potential and existing clients. Set a goal to lock in some new work (preferably with new clients). So many people are over-addicted to e-mail. So, you never know – you may find a guy who is just so happy to hear a human voice that he agrees to meet with you.

I’m about to re-model my office to give it a new zest, it’s amazing how much your surroundings impact your mood and performance. Right on the money with “Act as if” too.

I post “reminders” on YGG from time to time just to wake everyone up and get them to call clients and check their pulse.

Fabulous post…keep it up Gina :)

ahh, yes - lol

the occasional inspirational tips.
one can never get enough of those - specially entrepreneurs.

the “offending someone” tip is rather subjective from business to business. with a somewhat delicate fine line

everything else seems on par
