Don’t Wiggle

Let’s say that you’re taking an afternoon stroll through the woods with your honey and you come across a pretty huge pool of quicksand. Now, the two of you have been pretty deep in conversation, swinging linked hands and looking into each other’s eyes – like giddy teenagers. So, neither of you notices the deadly pool.

You both step your loving feet into the brown mess at once and begin to sink. Now what do you do? Your life flashing before your eyes – and your honey’s glasses all murky with wet sand….

Well, I’ll tell you what my husband would say “DON’T WIGGLE!!!” But, how can you stop wiggling, right? After all, you’ve got to make it out of this mess to catch the Sunday Matinee and kiss your bf or gf one more time.

I understand your need to work yourself out of life’s stressers. I understand your need to focus on what’s going wrong in order to try and fix it. But, if you wiggle around in quicksand you’ll be sunk in minutes.

My husband is the calmest guy on the planet. He’s so calm – I go crazy stressing about why he doesn’t worry enough. But, his relaxed demeanor has taught me to let go of a lot of my stress, and has helped us through many a sticky scenario.

Finances have been my major stressor throughout my business ventures. I’m constantly using my creative powers to make ends meet. But, I notice that as soon as I begin to struggle over one aspect of our finances – another mysterious bill pops up – then another and another.

If you spend your time focusing on one problem, and letting yourself become overworked – other problems will creep up. And, you will be less prepared to tackle them. Trust your business sense and stay firm in your actions. Don’t Wiggle!

If you stay still in quicksand – the earth will lift you up to safety.
