Get Excited!

Excitement is contagious. If you are generally excited about well, anything others can’t help but be swept up by your energy. It’s like a yawn if others see you do it first, they are sure to follow.

Can you imagine then the impact that being excited about what you do, has on your business/service?

In Australia, a used salesman-type known as Big Kev, hit the advertorial scene selling his range of Big Kev’s cleaning products. These included Big Kev’s Goo Remover and Big Kev’s All Purpose Spray.

Dressed in a giant satin shirt (he was a rather large man) and coining the phrase ‘I’m excited!’ he built a million dollar empire.

Against big multi-corporate conglomerates, Big Kev climbed the charts of cleaning products. Why? Because he ‘got excited!’

He combined two things, his general enthusiasm and belief in his products with a repetitive marketing message that went on to become part of everyday conversation.

At times he was almost like a caricature but it worked. People were drawn to his energy and gave his products a try instead of sticking loyally to their previous choices.

Sadly Big Kev, had a heart attack a few years ago, but if we can take anything from his experiences it is definitely to ‘get excited!’ about everything you sell, every service you provide and every project you embark on.

There is no greater marketing message to gain consumer’s trust than excitement stemming from a deep seeded belief in your product. Try it for yourself.

You’re right: when you have that ball of energy around you, people notice and become energized themselves — it’s great! Thanks.
