Freebies

Establishing any new product or business is going to require some savvy marketing strategies. One of them is giving out ‘freebies’.

The Australian street clothing label Tsubi was created by two surf bums who tied jeans to the back of their ute, dragged them for a few miles and sold them (for around $300) as a new style of distressed denim.

How did a local company turn into an International fashion label with profits in the millions? Well, after they discovered that they could create a new take on clothing they headed down the road (literally) to the trendy Sydney suburb called Bondi and gave them away.

They gave DJ’s, models, fashion photographers and funky writers a pair of their jeans, essentially creating their own walking billboard. The people they chose embodied the Tsubi spirit and thus a brand was born.

When it comes to freebies, if you choose wisely, the cost will justify the result.
