Entrepreneurs and Wine

wineNot sure about other entrepreneurs out there, but from time to time I like to drink a few glasses of wine. Over the past few years, I have come to really appreciate and respect a nice glass wine.

Let’s face it, as entrepreneurs times can get tough and we need to make sure that we can sit back to relax and recharge. Not to say that alcohol is the answer for relaxation – it’s not. However, if you’re of legal age and you do drink responsibly, I would recommend getting yourself a nice bottle of wine and having a glass.

Don’t worry, it’s not going to kill your wallet. A premium bottle can be purchased in the $10- $20 range, easy. Apart from the relaxation benefits derived from wine, it’s also quite healthy for you.

Without getting into too much medical mumbo-jumbo, wine contains chemicals know as antioxidants which combat other — harmful — elements know as free radicals which are directly related to causing cancer, heart problems, disease, etc… so wine also has many health benefits.

A pretty neat site to help you get into wine is Cork’d. You can keep track of what wine your friends are drinking, talk about various types of wine, and build your own journal of wines that you have experiences.

Wine really fascinates me. It’s great because it never stops growing and gaining complexities; literally, wine will continue to take on new tastes and structure as it matures in the bottle.

Wine and entrepreneurs aren’t so different. Like wine, we are constantly evolving on our journeys to success. We are constantly meeting new people, creating new ideas, and growing in mind and body.
