How Do I Motivate My Team?

Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at 01:26pm by Admin in Life

I currently have a team that is working for me on an equity basis. Contracts
are signed and deadlines have been outlined. However, the team is not that
motivated. They keep telling me that they’ll reach the deadlines on time
but I see no progress in that direction. Help! What can I do to motivate
them.

Remember, the most important thing to achieve is to not feel forced into “telling” someone what to do, but to “allow” them to do what they do best. Empower them and make them feel important, and they will work harder and harder for you. Always make sure to appreciate them in any way that you can. When there is a tough subject to talk about, always begin with a compliment and let them know that you appreciate their hard work. Set high goals and allow them to tackle them at their own pace, but also at a pace that you are comfortable with as well.
